Hello, my name is Marcus Kennedy Aisudo and I am the founder of English Planet language centre. My native language is English, which is the only language I speak in class.
By first education, I am an English teacher. I graduated from the Faculty of Education of the University College of Education in Benin. Studied French, English and Psychology at the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Kingston University in London.
Over the years, I've had experience working with people of different ages and levels of training: with children, teenagers and adults. Teaching English had made me pursue an important goal - to help open new opportunities and paths in life that will lead them to a wonderful future. I help adults to overcome the language barrier which helps them begin to speak English confidently, and also prepare them for international exams like IELTS, TOEFL e.t.c and admission to foreign universities where teaching is conducted in English.
English Planet Language Center provides an opportunity to learn and practice English through a unique teaching system. We offer English programs (beginner to fluent/advanced) for all levels to help you practice and improve your English speaking skills, prepare you for the English Proficiency Test, national/international exams and business reports. We also offer printed materials, workbooks and more. With English Planet Language Center you will be able to find material suitable for your level.
English Planet is a unique program which provides you the opportunity to learn and practice English as a second language. We provide all levels of English programs to help you practice and improve your English speaking skills. English Planet also entails a wide range of English learning categories (from beginner to fluent/Advanced level) to prepare you for important English proficiency, tests, state/international exams and business reports. We offer a collection of printable materials, worksheets, and many more. With English Planet, you can find the right material suited for your level.
English Planet students come from all walks of life, with a wide range of ages and abilities. Our teachers work with more than 400 students each week. English Planet offers weekly classes for all levels.
Kindies
Kindie children are English-Planet Kindergarteners; cute, energetic little people who absorb new things like sponges. Kindie classes are generally between 4 - 8 children, age between 3 - 5.
Classes with kindies also take place in an interactive form, but at first it can be challenging -- it’s usually the first time the children have attended a class without having Mom in the room, and often the first time they'll use an English textbook. With English-Planet Kindie classes, you'll have lots of fun singing, dancing and playing with the Kindies!
Primary school students
Primary classes are always filled with lots of different and interesting activities -- songs, games, chants and roleplaying. We read lots of stories together, too! Our Primary classes are generally between 5 - 8 children, age between 6 -10.
These younger students use the the Oxford University Press, Cambridge, Macmillian etc, which gradually help them learn many basic English words and phrases while they are having fun. Primary classes are 45 minutes long which are taught by a native-speaking English teacher.
Junior High and High School Students
The Junior high classes are generally between 7- 10 children, age between 10-13. Senior High classes are generally 7-12 students, age between 13-16. Junior High and Senior High School classes can be some of the most challenging classes of your week.
Students at this age are sometimes painfully shy, and often they come to class completely exhausted from their regular school day. They can be a "tough sell" at first, but as you discover how to break through their shells and get them motivated, it's a great feeling!
Adults/Advanced Classes
High School and Adult students study English at English Planet for many different reasons. Some are University students, housewives or retired people who study English as a hobby, in order to keep their minds active, or to retain the English they learned and used during their working life. Many students enjoy travelling to English-speaking countries, and want to enhance their travel experiences. Some will soon be transferred overseas for work, and will need English skills to conduct business. Some are studying English in order to pass an English proficiency test, or maybe to improve their chances of entering a higher level school or job. But, whatever the students’ motivations, our goal at English Planet for adult classes is always the same: we are dedicated to helping our students become more fluent and comfortable communicating in English!
Preparation for States and International Exams
OGE(ОГЭ), USE(ЕГЭ), TOEFL, IELTS, CAMBRIDGE, PEARSON, SAT, CAT
This category is specifically for those preparing for one of the English proficiency tests (such as the OGE (ОГЭ) USE(ЕГЭ), TOEFL, IELTS, TOEIC or CAMBRIDGE). It is mandatory for applicants from non-English native countries to demonstrate their English language proficiency skills to study higher education abroad. The common English language proficiency scores accepted in the UK, USA or any EUROPEEAN country include IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, SAT, LSAT, GRE etc. English planet helps students of this category to attain and obtain certificates that allows you study abroad. Scoring well in one of these tests surely strengthens a candidate's profile while applying for admission in Uk, US or European Universities. Apart from this, appearing in an exam specific to their course will help international students enhance their skills and improve their chances of admission.
Private/Individual Student
Private lessons at English Planet, as you might imagine, are one on one lessons with an individual student. Private lessons are 45 or 60 minutes long, and the curriculum is a bit more flexible than in group lessons. Often students who are preparing for one of the English proficiency tests (such as the OGE(ОГЭ) USE(ЕГЭ), TOEFL, IELTS, TOEIC or CAMBRIDGE) will sign up for Private lessons to hone their skills in the weeks before the test.
Trial Lessons
Occasionally, teachers will be asked to teach Trial lessons. These are no-cost "mini-lessons" for prospective students, in order to give them a small taste of what they can expect from a class here at English Planet. After the lesson, teachers advise the School Manager of the prospective student's approximate level, and she will recommend suitable classes for that student to observe. We encourage prospective students to observe a few different classes before they enrol, so they can find the class and level that best suits their needs.
Online lessons
English Planet also organise English online. We conduct English via Zoom, Whatsapp, Skype e.t.c. English planet helps you with the benefit of learning English online over going to traditional language schools. Save money, have more flexibility, and experience faster progress. However, learning English online with a tutor combines the best of both worlds. You get a tutor’s increased attention and guidance, alongside the convenience of learning from anywhere. That’s why English Planet combines tutor-led classes with online learning tools. English Intensive/Camps
English planet offers full immersion intensive English courses for children age 7- 12 and teens age 13 and older. Our courses are designed to satisfy children's interest. The lessons run from Monday through Friday morning or afternoon depending on the agreement with the scool or education establishment. It also includes book work as well as team activities to get teens talking and making friends. All teachers are certified and experienced English native speakers who make the English language engaging and fun. This also applies with English camps. English planet organises camps in all seasons. Spring camps in March-April, Summer camps in June-August, autumn camps in October-November and Winter camp in January. Our Summer camp is usually in high demand due to its intensive educational program in an unforgettable summer holiday environment.
The English program at intensives and camps focuses mainly on improving the children’s conversational skills, their active perception of the language and pronunciation. The goal is not just to understand a foreign language, but also to be able to spontaneously react and speak.
